Local Goodies - NEEPS!

Just thought I'd drop in some local sites that might be of interest.

There's a chatty wee community called NEEPS! that I've recently discovered. Neeps (North East Environmentally-friendly Peoples Site) is a friendly local site offering help an advice on local issues, where to find local, homegrown produce, chats (blethers) and general gossip an all things Local - with lots of advice for Green issues and smallholders. So if you want to start keeping chickens, build a bird house or just have a blether then I'm sure someone there will be able to help!

Along the same lines, Mavis I think wrote about this is the newlsetter but I can't find it there but I did find the links. Aberdeen Freecycle and there's also a newly started group for Aberdeenshire West Freecycle.

The Aberdeenshire West Freecycle group is open to all who want to re-home that special something rather than bin it. A wing chair, fridge, bike, grand piano, wellies, caravan or Great Aunt Tillie's hair net collection, feel free to post it. Maybe you're looking to acquire something essential, like a cooker or building materials. An item to make your life easier - an automatic plant waterer or more interesting like a good book! Nonprofit groups are particularly welcome to join!
