Making Scottish Quarry Landscape a Work Of Art

Robbie Finnie, manager of Kemnay Quarry says:

“This is as close as we’ll get to establishing a Museum to the Granite Industry in this country, The project was originally conceived in 1995 as a conventional visitor centre which could display granite sculpture nearby. But we realised a museum with staff and facilities would not be viable and the idea was dropped. However there remained considerable enthusiasm for the landscape elements, which the artist team later developed as ‘Place of Origin’."
