The Church In Kemnay

The Church in Kemnay goes back as far as the 12th century, but not until the middle 1600's were there any Parish records kept. Although there was a church on the same site as the existing building, in the middle of the 19th century the original building was demolished to make room for a larger one, to cope with the increasing population, and this was finished in 1844.

A Church Logo Further extensions were carried out in 1871, 1907 and 1928. The former Free Church (with the clock tower), off Kendall Road, united with the Church of Scotland in 1935 and this building now serves as the Church centre.

Roman Catholic Church in Inverurie and area

in ::

Dear Sir/Madam! My name is Father Gábor Czakó, the parish priest of Inverurie Roman Catholic parish area, which covers the area from Fyvie in the North to Alford in the South West and from Hatton of Fintray in the East to Insch area in the West. I originally come from Hungary, but I have been in Scotland for about 8 years.

I am writing to you on behalf of our Parish family to invite you to join us on a lifelong journey of faith and discovery about God. Our church in Inverurie is not only for those who feel worthy to come to church, but for all of those who want to experience healing in their relationship with God and with one another. We welcome back also those Christians who feel excluded from the Church, because of their particular life situation. Jesus reached out to good people and sinners alike. If you are not a Christian we are happy to introduce you to what Christians believe. So why not come and have a look? Our telephone number is 01467 620319 or visit us at 116 North Street, Inverurie, or send an e-mail to rcgarioch@tiscali.co.uk . For information on the parish and for directions please visit our website on www.rcgarioch.org.uk .
