It is imperative that the Planning Department hear our views on this development which is at one of the entrances to our village. It is vital we communicate our opinions to the Planning Department as soon as possible.

The revised plans are still for 10 flats in 2 and 3 storey and would appear to be identical to the original plans but have been repositioned further north and down the bank and are now approximately 8 mtrs. from the edge of Bridge Road. This has the effect of reducing the overall height by approximately 1.5 mtrs.

It would also appear that the existing footpath to the front of the proposed flats has now been replaced with visitor's parking, means pedestrians would have to walk on the road if visitors have parked their vehicles in this area.

On the face of it the only changes are relocation of buildings, loss of footpath being replaced by visitor parking, changes to car park and riverside walk footpath.

I LIVE DIRECTLY ACROSS WHERE THE PROPOSED FLATS WILL BE.EVERY ONE OF THE FLATS WINDOWS WILL BE LOOKING DIRECTLY ONTO MY HOUSE , ITS INVAIDING OUR PRIVICY .MY HOUSE IS A STOREY AND A HALF AND THAT WAS ALL THE HEIGHT I WAS ALLOUD TO BUILD, SO HOW CAN THE FLATS EVEN BE CONSIDERED FOR THREE STOREYS .THEN THERE THE TRAFFIC ISUES MOST HOUSES NOWADAYS HAVE 2 CARS SO WHERES THE EXTRA CARS GOING?. WHERE DOES ALL THERE VISITORS GOING TO PARK AS THERE IS NO SPACES TO PARK UP THE ROAD WHERE THE FLATS ARE GOING, I ALSO THINK THAT THERE SHOULD BE SPEED BUMPS ON BRIDGE ROAD AT THE MOMENT WITHOUT ALL THE EXTRA TRAFFIC .I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE A PAVEMENT OUTSIDE MY HOUSE ,BUT ACROSS THE ROAD IS DOWN TO HAVE THEIRS REMOVED .I STRONGLY ADDVISE AGAINST THE PROPOSAL

I am a student currently sitting my Honours year in Architecture; I have lived in Kemnay my whole life, and am proud of the unique character that the village retains. And this development proposal, from a design and scale perspective, is quite frankly disturbing. It holds no relationship to the existing area in any way, shape or form! As part of my degree I am doing a critical appraisal of this design proposal, and any comments or information provided by anyone involved in the scheme would be greatly appreciated.
