Kemnay & District Swimming Pool Association

The Swimming Pool Association was formed in response to the perceived need for swimming facilities to serve the local population and particularly local schools. It aims to remind the authorities of the demand in the Kemnay area, and the difficulty for people in Kemnay (a) to travel by public transport to pools elsewhere and (b) to gain access to those pools at suitable times, given the high usage of existing Aberdeenshire pools. It seeks to further at every opportunity the objective of a pool in Kemnay.

 All local residents are automatically members. The Association holds an Annual General Meeting at which its Executive is appointed. The Executive meets several times a year, and its meetings are normally open to the public.
