Well Done Kemnay!!

Our recent door to door survey has been a great success! We have had a fantastic response, obtaining an estimated 1000 signatures in support of a swimming pool in the area.   A big thanks to everybody for taking the time to sign our petition - it is exactly the sort of support we need!

The car boot sale on Saturday 12^th August was also very well attended, and although the weather threatened, it never came to anything and there was a steady hustle and bustle throughout the day.

From the car boot sale, bottle stall & raffle the association made almost £1000 towards a pool.  It's only a small amount in comparison to the amount actually required to build a pool but does show the village has a real commitment towards obtaining such a valuable facility.

CostCutters, The Chip Shop, Heavenly Body, The Hair Shop, Hair Craft, Lingard Butchers, Collies Butchers, The Baby Shop,     The Chemists, Somerfield,  The Lairds Throat, The Burnett Arms,   Sidelines, Essentials.

We are still a long way from getting our pool - but the response from everybody has been so positive. We got some great press coverage from the boot sale, and we've hopefully managed to raise some awareness of the association and what we're trying to achieve.

And most importantly, we have the signatures to take to councillors in the forthcoming local elections to really push for this essential resource in our community.
