I'm hoping that someone in the area may remember or have information of a
bakery in Station Road, dating back to the 1920's or 30's.
My father-in Law, Ernest Milne, was from the village and his father was a
baker there about that time.
Any information of the business or the family would be greatly

Duncan tells me that there was a Thomas Milne took over the bakery in Station Road around 1932. The Bakery was situated where the Leslie Place houses are now.
However the name Ernest does not ring a bell as the family consisted of; Arthur who was also a baker in the business, Thomas, Lamond who was killed during the war and three daughters, Margaret, Florence and Hilda.
