The North East Scotland Together Structure Plan indicated that Kemnay was a Rural Service Area and should have no more than 20 new houses built between 2007 and 2011.
However, developers have obtained permission to build 102 houses beside Bogbeth Park, and 14 flats at Bridgend. The original plan for Fyfe Park called for 20 new homes. However, developers have submitted plans for 54 houses. Your Community Council has received a map which shows where developers propose to build over 100 more houses in and around our village.
If you are concerned about the amount of development you see going on in and around Kemnay, and would like to have a voice in what the Aberdeenshire Planners are preparing for our village then you will want to attend the Planning Aid for Scotland Workshop on Saturday afternoon, 25 April from 2-5.30 pm, in the Village Hall.
